Lights, Laughter, Literacy! brings award-winning author Julie Woik, creator of The Life and Times of Lilly the Lash® hardcover book series, directly into elementary schools for an unforgettable experience celebrating reading, writing, creativity, and positive character development. Offered through Whimsical Wizard Worldwide, Inc., the program is available through school funding, donations, private sponsorships, and grants, with special emphasis on reaching children in underserved communities.
With nearly 20 years of experience captivating young audiences, Julie delivers full-day school visits featuring up to seven lively, grade-appropriate presentations for students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Her infectious enthusiasm, magnetic personality, animated storytelling, humor, and interactive multimedia presentations transform literacy into an exciting and memorable adventure!
Younger students discover the joy of reading, the magic of storytelling, and what makes each of us special. Older students explore these themes more deeply while discovering the writing process, the collaboration between authors and illustrators, and how an idea becomes a published book. Throughout each presentation, Julie inspires creativity, confidence, and positive character development.
To keep the literary excitement alive, each participating school receives two complete sets of the seven-book hardcover series (14 books), generously donated by Whimsical Wizard Worldwide, Inc., for classroom enrichment, school libraries, or other educational uses.
